According to Article 27 of the Consumer Rights Act of May 30, 2014, a consumer who has entered into a distance contract or a contract outside the business premises may withdraw from it within 14 days without giving a reason.
– To withdraw from such a contract, the consumer sends a statement of resignation from the purchase (withdrawal from the sales contract) to the store and returns the goods.
– After meeting the formal requirements and accepting the return of the goods, the store refunds the funds (partially or in full) through the PayU System that were used by the Buyer to finance the purchase.
– PayU then transfers the refund directly to the Financial Organization with which the Buyer has entered into the credit agreement.
– PayU will inform the Buyer via email about the recorded return, providing details of the refund and the installment payment to which the return pertains.
– To ensure proper handling of the credit agreement after the funds are refunded, including submitting a withdrawal request or making an early repayment, the Buyer should contact the Financial Organization directly each time.
Exceptions
Legal provisions may specify exceptions when the right to withdraw from the contract does not apply. Such situations are specified, for example, in Article 38 of the Consumer Rights Act of May 30, 2014, where, among other things, the right to withdraw does not apply to Buyers entering into contracts for the purchase of tickets for entertainment, sports, or cultural events outside the business premises or at a distance.
